Welcome to ASHBOLT Farm

Anne Ashbolt - Wednesday, November 04, 2009

We've finally decided to join the blog world so we can share the latest news and events with those that love what we do, our “Ashbolt addicts”, as many describe themselves.

We’ve had the best winter rains in 43 years and the Tassie countryside looks wonderful, the greenest we have seen in a very long time. But the last few days have seen 30+ degree heat - the season turns to summer already.

The olive grove is just stunning, the leaves turning blue-grey in the daily evening play of changing light. The scent of Elders fills the air – and mingles with the heady scent of the spring garden, an intoxicating mix that wafts through the office window. Their flower heads will be picked early in the morning, a daily ritual for the next month.

A wonderful start to this season. Hoping it will continue well into next year.

Stay well
